Gregory is the trendsetting Executive Chef at Portland's popular pan-asian restaurant, Departure. He studied pre-med, wildlife biology and French before pursuing a degree from the Culinary Institute of America after discovering a passion for cooking. Gregory trained at the prestigious Jean-Georges restaurant, eventually working his way up to Sous Chef. Later, as Chef de Cuisine at modern Chinese eatery, Restaurant 66, he cultivated an affinity for Asian cuisine and the flavors for which he is now known. As a part time ultra runner, hot yoga devotee, and cross-fitter Gourdet brings his health-mindedness to the table. Gregory was named Chef of the Year by the Oregon Department of Agriculture in 2013 and He was named Eater PDX Chef of the Year in 2014. a James Beard Semi Finalist in 2015, Gregory was Runner Up on the 12th season of Top Chef.
